When You Finally Stop Moving in Fear

There is a difference between feeling fear and moving in fear. One is an emotion. The other is a decision.

For a long time, fear had too much say. It could make me hesitate, second-guess myself, question what I knew, and shrink back from things I was being called to walk into.

But there came a point when I realized I did not have to wait until fear disappeared. I just had to stop letting it lead me.

Fear Tried to Name Me

The weight of it tried to break me. The pressure tried to rename me. Fear tried to call me another name. But none of it had the authority to decide who I would become.

Fear will try to make you answer to names YHWH never gave you. Too weak. Too late. Too damaged. Not ready. Not enough. But just because fear says it does not mean you have to respond to it.

Feeling Fear Is Not the Same as Obeying It

I still know what fear feels like. Healing did not make me immune to it. Faith did not make every uncertain moment disappear. What changed was who had authority.

Fear could speak, but it could no longer make my decisions. It could show up, but it could not choose my direction. It could knock, but I did not have to hand it the keys.

You Get to Move Differently Now

Sometimes moving forward looks less dramatic than people think. It can be saying yes when fear says hide. Saying no when fear says settle. Taking the next step before you feel completely ready. Trusting what YHWH said more than what fear keeps repeating.

I stopped asking fear for permission to become who I was already becoming.

Fear Does Not Get the Final Word

What tried to rename me does not get to define me. What tried to pressure me does not get to possess me. What tried to stop me does not get to set my pace.

I can feel fear and still move in faith. I can feel uncertain and still move forward. I can hear the old voice and still choose not to answer to it.

Permission to heal starts now. And sometimes healing looks like refusing to let fear call you by a name YHWH never gave you.
