My story. My voice.
Every word on these pages was written from a place of truth. I didn’t write because my life was easy. I wrote because YHWH led me to heal this way.
A prophetic word spoken over my life spoke to my soul and set me on a path I never expected: healing from brokenness. I never imagined getting here, surviving, or living to tell my story. I am still growing, still healing daily, and still believing in the path YHWH prepared for me.
One of my greatest joys is sharing the story YHWH gave me the courage to tell. My prayer is that somewhere within these pages, you’ll find the courage to tell yours and heal through YHWH.
There is more to my story than what happened to me.
Author · Mother · Advocate · A woman of faith
I am Kim King—an author, a mother of five, a woman of faith, and someone who has learned that the experiences we carry do not have to be the end of our stories. My writing grew from lived experiences of hardship, motherhood, grief, and the work of facing my own truth. I share those experiences to make room for honesty, healing, and what comes next.

Finding the courage to tell it
My journey
There were seasons of my life when survival occupied so much space that I could not imagine what came after it. I have lived through abuse and loss, raised my children, and faced the unimaginable grief of losing my firstborn son, Keith.

Faith has remained part of how I make sense of my experiences. My belief in YHWH and my decision to confront difficult truths helped shape the words that eventually became Eyes Wide Shut, Wandering Awake.

Writing did not erase what happened. It gave me a way to reclaim my voice, examine my life with honesty, and recognize that I am still worth the picture—even when life has looked nothing like the picture I imagined.

I'm not picture perfect, but I'm still worth the picture.

That message became the foundation of Inspired Biography: a place for real stories, reflection, connection and the possibility of what comes next.
My family, my heart.
My greatest blessings
Being a mother of five is part of who I am. My story holds family, faith, milestones, love and purpose—not only the difficult chapters.

My four children. Keith will always be part of my story.

Keith will always be part of my story.
In loving memory
My son Keith's life deserves to be remembered for more than the way he died. His memory is part of my writing, my advocacy and the love I carry as a mother.

I have created a separate space to honor him, so visitors can meet him through remembrance rather than encountering only the circumstances of his loss.

From lived experience to serving others
Purpose in practice
Alongside my writing, I work as a Community Health Worker and certified Violence Prevention Professional, supporting people affected by violence and connecting them with resources.

That work and my lived experiences inform one another, but neither defines the whole of who I am. I am also a woman who values family, laughter, learning and the opportunity to keep growing.

Inspired Biography is an invitation to meet all those parts of me—not only the hardest chapters.

My first book begins the Awakened from Darkness series. ARISE TO LIFE: Out of Darkness, my forthcoming second book, continues the story of living, believing and finding purpose beyond survival.
