There is a kind of tired that sleep cannot fix.
I am talking about the moment when you realize you are tired of carrying the same weight, having the same conversations with yourself, making excuses for what keeps draining you, and calling survival peace just because it is familiar.
For me, being sick and tired eventually had to mean more than saying I was tired. It had to become a decision.
Enough Had to Become a Decision
There comes a point when you can know something is not good for you and still keep carrying it because letting it go feels harder than holding on. Familiar can make unhealthy things feel safe. At least you know what to expect there.
But eventually I became more tired of carrying what was hurting me than I was afraid of what healing would require from me.
That was different. That was not emotion talking anymore. That was a decision beginning to form.
Putting It Down Did Not Mean I Had All the Answers
I did not suddenly know exactly what came next. I did not become fearless overnight. I simply started realizing that I could not keep asking YHWH for something new while insisting on carrying everything that belonged to an old season.
Sometimes healing begins before you feel ready. It begins when you finally admit, This cannot keep being my normal.
You Can Be Tired Without Giving Up
Being tired does not always mean you are defeated. Sometimes tired is the signal that you have reached the end of what you are willing to keep accepting.
There is strength in saying, I do not want to carry this anymore. There is strength in choosing a different response. There is strength in realizing that peace may require you to put something down before you understand exactly what will replace it.
Healing Asked Me to Participate
I learned that I could pray for change and still have choices to make. I could ask YHWH for direction and still have to take a step. I could want peace and still have to stop returning to things that kept disturbing it.
Giving myself permission to heal also meant giving myself permission to do something different.
The Turning Point Does Not Have to Look Dramatic
Sometimes your turning point is quiet. No announcement. No audience. Just a moment when something inside you says, I cannot keep living from this same place.
That is when being sick and tired becomes more than carrying your brokenness. It becomes the moment you finally decide brokenness is not the only thing you are allowed to carry forward.
You can carry wisdom. You can carry boundaries. You can carry faith. You can carry the strength to turn the page.
Permission to heal starts now.
