When Faith Spoke, but Fear, Insecurity, and Comfort Came to Visit Your New Place

Faith can move you into a new place before your feelings are ready for it.
You can know YHWH brought you forward and still have moments when fear questions whether you belong there, insecurity asks whether you are enough, and comfort reminds you how easy it would be to go back to what you already know.
They Came to Visit
I had to learn something important: just because an old feeling shows up in a new place does not mean it has a right to stay there.
Fear may know my old address. Insecurity may remember my name. Comfort may know how to make the familiar look safe. But none of them have permission to move into the place faith brought me.
A New Place Can Still Feel Uncomfortable
Sometimes the new thing YHWH is doing feels unfamiliar before it feels peaceful. That does not mean it is wrong. It may simply mean you are learning how to live without depending on what once felt normal.
Growth can feel strange when you have spent years surviving. Peace can feel unfamiliar when you are used to being on guard. Confidence can feel uncomfortable when insecurity used to speak first.
Not Every Voice Gets a Key
The difference now is that I do not have to obey every feeling that comes to visit.
Fear can knock. Insecurity can speak. Comfort can remind me of the old place. But faith gets to answer the door.
I can acknowledge what I feel without allowing it to decide where I go next.
You Do Not Have to Leave the New Place
Feeling fear does not mean you made the wrong move. Feeling insecure does not mean you are not ready. Missing what was familiar does not mean you are supposed to return to it.
Sometimes you simply have to give yourself time to become comfortable in the place your faith had enough courage to enter.
They came to visit. They do not live here.
And I am learning that I do not have to go back just because the new place requires courage.
Permission to heal starts now.
